The impact of a lightning strike that Ada suffers during a storm in the countryside reconfigures her physically and mentally. In addition to the visible aftereffects, she is disturbed by a series of strange symptoms she cannot control: visual and auditory hallucinations, electric shocks, and temporal confusions that ultimately distance her from what her life used to be. She finds support in a group of other lightning strike survivors and a doctor they blindly trust. For Ada, the path toward electrophilia will be a journey with no return.
