Myrna Perez

- Chief of Staff

Myrna Perez is an award-winning producer based in Los Angeles, serving as the Executive Producer and Chief of Staff at Exile. Her work spans a wide variety of projects in the film/tv, digital, live experiential and commercial spaces, with a slew of collaborators, artists, platforms and brands. Media agnostic at heart, her mission has and will always be to create content and experiences that are additive.

Perez has worked on several noteworthy projects, including Season 2 and the Holiday Edition Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi on Hulu, which won her a James Beard Award for best longform media; the Selena the Series campaign for Netflix; the award-winning El Patio Tecate live show series, which won her a Webby; and the Home is Here campaign for the DACA SCOTUS case (the films were screened in the Supreme Court for the hearing, won multiple awards and, most importantly, won the case on DACA).

Perez has a proven track record of success in the industry, having founded the Bay Area’s Video Consortium Chapter in 2016 and served as one of the producers who launched Fusion, a joint venture of Univision and Disney in 2014 alongside Nando Vila, our studio head. She was also the founding director and producer of BESE, Zoe Saldana’s production company aimed at highlighting marginalized voices in 2017, alongside our COO Daniel Batista. In 2022, Perez wrapped production on multiple episodes of a Hulu show, executive produced several campaigns for global brands like Nike and Levi’s and began production on a documentary about the evolution of Tejano music and its impact on the Johnny Canales Show. Myrna graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with a degree in philosophy and political science.

If you’ve made it this far, she hopes you reach out for lunch or a coffee to discuss the state of the universe. She promises it will not be boring.
