Isabel López Polanco

- Head of Development 

Isabel is a creative and executive producer with a passion for good storytelling. She joined Exile in 2021, where she runs content and development for Mexico and Latin America. She was previously the Head of Development at Canana in Mexico City, where she worked on films like Diego Luna’s Mr. Pig (2016), the English language version of Miss Bala (2019) directed by Catherine Hardwicke and was an Executive Producer on The Dance of the 41 (David Pablos, 2020), which won four Mexican Academy Awards. On the TV side, she was a Creative Executive on Luis Miguel, The Series (2018) for Telemundo and Netflix, and an Executive Producer on the docuseries Taco Chronicles (2019) for Netflix. Isabel obtained a BA in International Relations from Brown University in 2010, and an MFA in Creative and Executive Production from USC’s Peter Stark Program in 2015. Isabel’s most recent credits include the true crime docuseries A Kidnapping Scandal: The Florence Cassez Affair (Netflix, 2022) and the scripted series Vgly (HBO Max, 2023).
